It is a very good subject to comment on.<br /><br />In my opinion, it seems that our culture has put a lot of pressure on men and their sex role. Men are expected to be chivalrous, confident, fearless, hunters, protectors, and security providers, etc. And most men will carry this out fairly well. Some, better than others. But, on top of all that bread and butter, men are expected to be caring and sensitive with cream cheese and a cherry on top. Yikes...this one is not so simple for men.<br /><br />In contrast, women, are expected to be caring, child bearers, and sensitive. And women do exceptionally well in these areas as well as many others such as also being bread winners, and multi-tasking. However, it seems when it comes to sex most men will agree that women can be rather cold at times and heartbreakers. What ever happened to caring, sensitive, and multi-tasking?<br /><br />Men are not expected to cry in these situations. Instead, men may feel rejected and keeps it all inside. Their bellies become bloated and grow bigger from keeping so much inside. It has to go somewhere. Just playing. Seriously though, their self esteem may be damaged, and confidence level nowhere near where it used to be. It is hard to show tenderness when you feel unwanted, unworthy, or incompetent. Some may even lose interest all together and show interest somewhere else. And this certainly does not help anyone out in the long run.<br /><br />It comes to no surprise that men are programmed differently than women when it comes to sex. Just like shopping, men can be ready to go in just a few seconds to minutes. Women may take a few more minutes or an hour or more.<br /><br />The truth is that men and women are different and we cannot change that. But, what we can and should change is agreeing to meet down the middle.
