Enjoyed your comments; I don’t really have a list but I believe that God will create, mold and shape the man in my life and he will have to put in work; “persistence and pursuit” I'm a spoiled brat and I refuse to accept anything less. HA...PPINESS IS HARD to come by, and one has to remember that it takes work to keep it; I believe in marriage and family with the right person, I strongly believe this is a powerful unit that makes a difference in the lives of everyone around. Abstinence is hard and not for everyone but I made a choice to honor God in everything I do, I want to stay true to myself I think men can see right through you when you try to be something you are not so don’t, like I said WORK!

A very good show, Eagle Eye, Natalie and PJ. It shows that we can make lists over lists and keep them sacred, and keep them in our minds and hearts but guess what happens when suddenly, you leave home for going to work - and there he or she is. Totally out of the blue, the person who will turn your life around is walking at you. You stop and stare, not having the faintest clue of why this person hit you emotionally with what seems like a sledge hammer.
All day long, you cannot get her or him out of your mind. You come back home at night and sit down to review the situation. Once the confusion has lifted a little, you suddenly remember your List - and find out this:
wrong hair colour.
wrong hair length.
wrong height.
wrong dress style.
Wrong EVERYTHING.
You hit a super long list of No Match.
That, my dears, is LOVE. No List and no thoughts or ideas on what your soul mate should have can save you from such a moment.
It is the inner values which should make up a List Of Soul Mate Qualities:
for me these are honesty, truthfulness, openness, humour and the willingness to stand by me no matter what (even if I did something really dumb, nasty or plain wrong).
Must be able to forgive, and honour my femininity at all times. Must have an open mind.
Absolutely must not steal material assets from me (which is sadly what happened to me personally), in other words: must have income, must have a home.
All else is negotiable.
Oh .. and did I say that I found this world wonder no. 8 ? And he found me ? There. It's all good.

It is certainly true that all people, no matter how educated in all matters love, sex and relationship they are, need to understand first and foremost that men and women are different on almost all levels one can think of. Building understanding for the opposite sex to me is the prerequisite for men and women getting along in the first place, regardless of what type of relationship they are in. It all lies in our individual genetic make-up, in the hormones (a realm to which not nearly enough importance and attention is paid), our upbringing, our environment.
Men for example have a 58 % higher serotonin level, a brain tissue hormone acting as a neurotransmitter and responsible for emotional well-being, sleep and appetite. In an article published on here last year, it said "be her serotonin" .. and that is a good start for many (if not most). Men have more muscles, especially in their arms and legs, and are therefore destined to deal with everything that is heavy or big, or both at the same time. Men usually are taller than women which again makes them ideally suited to deal with situations like running, fighting, lifting heavy items etc. a lot better than women can. And women need to realize that they cannot (CANNOT) do everything that men can without suffering physically or emotionally. Men need to understand that they will never have babies, and are not easily emotional over things, situations or people. It is Mother Nature who made us this way.
It is the same with pain, women have regular physical pain because of their menstruation, and hardly a woman is spared that, and of course during childbirth, and of very course while breastfeeding which IS painful at times. A woman cuts her finger and she will experience the mere physical pain as uncomfortable but rather translates it into emotional pain.
A man cuts his finger and says that it is nothing and does not translate it into emotional pain.
Why this is so must be answered by the scientists. Over eons, women have developed a sense of nurturing which is predominantly an emotional business, while men were sent out to hunt and gather which requires physicality: long legs, tall built, lean body all of which are needed for endurance and speed.

What an interesting article, Jesse ! Women can certainly take and endure more emotional pain than men can; men are not good at that, they tend to get aggressive or get drunk in order to drown their sorrow. Women are emotionally more alive (as a broad general rule) and of course, if a woman displays emotions more, she gets more feedback in this realm which at times, does hurt. Women are open with their pain, be it emotional or physical while men tend to bottle it up and have higher records of blood-pressure and heart-related disorders.
I live with physical as well as emotional pain every day but even if I weren't, I could never endure any sort of pain stemming from a sexual practice. Nothing kills arousal and feeling sexy or being with a man faster than the wrong word, the wrong physicality or the wrong emotional feedback.

What I write about is actually based on facts, research, sources, and everyday experiences. There is truth to them. Not for everybody, but for somebody. a very good point, Ms Jess, and very nicely done. I am continuously vacillating between raging, white-hot anger and giggling when it comes to profile photos. Sadly, in summary I am left with a very bitter taste in my mouth as most profile photos are either fake, or outright off-putting to ugly, or showing all to clearly that the person behind it is looking for sex only. It is completely beyond me why online dating sites do not stop users creating names like "cam sex only" which indicates that the owner of a profile is confusing the online dating site with an online brothel.
Also, some of the pictures show a tiny human figure (the person that the profile is supposed to be about) in front of some mountain range, or the pyramid of Gizeh, or an ocean which occupies 90 percent of the photograph's space. Come on, people .. stop insulting my intelligence !

You are most welcome, Jesse and PJ. After reading the article again, it dawned on me that the source of "The Little Things" is actually rooted in the wish to serve. Yes, SERVE. With the human conscious undergoing a drastic change on a global, especially in the year ahead, many of us will see that serving is the only way to stay human, to stay balanced and to stay happy and fulfilled. Serve your partner with everything you want to receive yourself, and there you are. Sounds provocative ? Everybody should spend a lot of time thinking about it, and act accordingly. It is worth a try. Needless to say that serving my partner leaves me in a state of great bliss ... emotionally and mentally, physically and spiritually. And the bliss he experiences through my giving reflects onto me .. an eternal cycle. Any romantic relationship can only benefit if we try to make our partner feel loved, and even more so, IMPORTANT. Food for the mind !

A creative and good article altogether, Jesse and PJ, it shows me - again - that it is the little things in life which keep it interesting as a whole, especially an intimate and romantic relationship.
I as a woman definitely want to do the same for my man, making him happy, and surprise him, and show him my love and appreciation .. just for being him, and for being in my life. For example, I want to put a little something onto his pillow every day before he is home from work, like a praliné, a feather, and interesting book .. or maybe a pair of nylons, promising greater things for the night :) ... just anything to make him feel loved, and very very special. That way, the drab and boring and killing-all routine should get no footing in our life.
